I'm running YamaLube right now, but the place that sells it is quite a distant away, and I was wondering if an auto part store or gas station sells anything I could use. What is the cheapest stuff I can use without sacrficing reliability?

You arent going to find oil that is much cheaper than Yamalube 2-S.
A lot of gas stations and parts houses carry Citgo Sea and Snow, which is a decent oil.
It would work just fine in a relatively simple 2-stroke like what your Phazer has (no exhaust valves and it doesnt turn very high rpms). You could also see if you could find Castrol Go! Snow. Castrol is a good oil too.
If the place that you buy Yamalube from is quite a ways away, why not buy a lot of oil when you go and only make maybe 1 trip a year? I typically buy oil in 2.5 gallon jugs and that lasts me at least a year.

yep, We are "switching" the Venture to Arctic Blue this weekend. that is the same oil as well, but a lot cheaper than yamalube.
fleet farm sells a gallon of the arctic blue for like 10 bucks.

Ive heard before that Yamalube is made by Citgo. I dont think that Yamalube 2-S is the same as Citgo Sea and Snow. Ive talked to Yamaha owners from Canada who use Yamalube 2-S and they all claimed it is made by Exxon-Mobil.
Even if it is made by the same company, that doesnt mean its made to the same specifications. Polaris VES Gold and Cat APV oil is both made by a company called, "Lubricant Technologies", yet Polaris owners love VES Gold and say it keeps the valves very clean, yet Cat owners hate Cat APV oil and claim it makes the valves gum up like crazy.
