I think its for a 99, at least that's what it says in his profile. It should already be welded from the factory if its a new crank.

i just put a new crank in my 01' and the big end rod pins are welded from factory only .i think they tightened up the press fit tolerances on thr main joints to cure the going out of phase problem.the 98-99 repaired under warrenty cranks had all joints welded.if the connecting rod pins are welded just check the crank for runout ,if in spec start assembling.

did any of the '99 SX cranks have the same problems as the SRX's? Mine is out of phase on my SX and i am wondering if it is a design thing or from it backfiring hard one time.
