Could definately be a warped head or a bad head gasket. Pull the head off and get it on an accurate straight edge and check the deflection. Often, milling a few thousands off will make it flat again without affecting compression much. Fairly cheap and easy to do as well.
I had the same problem with the opticool gasket. I had to retorque it three times before it quit leaking. Mine was blowing the coolant cap off under hard throttle.

mine is not blowing the coolant cap of it is just flooding the pto cyl to the point it fouls a plug I am afraid it is a warped head but I will not know till I get it apart and check it.
any good ideas on how to check the head for warpage???
thanks guys.

Have you re-torqued it. Before you do anything else you should retorque all the head bolts. Another 4-5 ft. lbs. over and above the spec wont hurt anything and it might just solve your problem.

To check the head, remove it and place it on a workbench, get a machinist rule(metal straight edge) and place it on the head, now kneel down so its at eye level and if you can see light under any section where the mach.rule touches the head, its warped!
not uncommon if its been overheated good, the aluminum will warp from the pressure from the headbolts and the cylinders, I would look at the head first, the next check would be the tops of the cylinders, then the case top. if your drawing in antifreeze it will destroy the crankbearings and piston in no time(it washes away the oil and removes the protection of the parts).

Bender said 20 ft lbs, i gave mine 30 ft lbs and no more leak. Check the head first as suggested. It may have warped from over heating it.
Not to jack this thread, but you can run your head bolts a little tighter than spec? Like 25 ft lbs?

If you need another head, I have one. It was on a Viper that popped and had some marks on the dome, but my machinist buddy cleaned it up, checked for warping and said it will work just fine on a stock Viper. I will sell it to you cheap if you need it. Good luck.
