I need help adjusting my suspension. I want to make sure I adjust my suspension correctly. Since I bought this sled I havent adjusted the suspension and Im planning on going on a weeklong trip, and want it to be comfortable.
I want the rear to have as much play as possible (soft). I took some pics of how they are setup right now... Im about 230. It looks like its set up to be stiff in the front but im not sure about the back. Im not sure what the guidelines are for this particular setup. Im pretty sure its all stock.
Front suspension:
Rear shock (front of sled)
Another angle
Yet another angle
rear horizontal shock
Specifically Im looking to find out how it looks to be setup right now to see if i can go much softer or not.

Well it's definately been adjusted from stock. The front shock is in upside down. Shouldn't matter, but tells you it has been out of the skid. The FRA is on the hardest setting with very little spring pre-load. Front shock is cranked down like a lot of people like to do... The best thing you can do is read bethevipers article.. I'll find the post. If you are not wanting to make a lot of changes I would think you could just change the FRA to the center and gain some assuming it doesn't regularly bottom on you.

Yes, if is not cracked it will be, RAMBO you should weld that before the trip, if it breaks then it wont be good and you might have issues....I know it sucks but you will have to pull the skid, take out the arm, weld it and reinforce it.
Sorry for the bad news....but you will be sorry not if but when it breaks

thats your FRA(full rate adjustment) changes the shock action.Robs96max4 said:in the last pic the shock is mounted on a slotted bracket anyone know the difference between the top hole from the bottom hole mine is in the top and i have no traction at all
A,B,C positions.. A highest is soft B middle is med. C lowest is hard
has nothing to do with your tranfer problem, that controls ride.

yup there up front of the skid the bolt with the straps on them, yes you can
snug um up some try a 1/2" to start, both sides the same.
you'll never get it perfect, the proaction was never a great tranfer skid but
you can get it close, good.plus the power from a v-max 4 is hard to control.
