well I think I have the SRX finally tuned clutching wise. There is still not much snow around and traction is crappy, but she seems to hook up pretty good otherwise.I had a couple of good launches with great traction. From a standstill,I pinned it and reved up to 81-8200 and climbed to 8500.Has a wicked pull to her.
On the river, where there is more ice, she'll spin out to 8600 and drop back to 8500 wot.Imagine if I had studs on her.Just don't have a spot I can really leave it pinned to long, but she is right on for now.
My final setup is 5.4 g heel and 6.1 tip.Red primary spring and green secondary spring wrapped at 70 with a 50/38 Dalton helix.Have 15.6 roller in the clutch.Engages at 4200 rpm.Got a wicked pull to it.
I have 15mm rollers to pu tomorrow from dealer. Will try them in place of the 15.6 rollers, with no other changes. My engagement should drop some, maybe to 4000 which will give me more belt bite and maybe less spin out at launch. Will see what the wot rpm will be .What do you guys think?

MONSTER NICE. PRETTY CLOSE TO WHAT I HAVE IN MY 2000. I UP MY ENGAGEMENT FOR RACING THOUGH, NOTCH NEEDED TO BE CUT. CAN,T WAIT TO TEST IT NOW WITH THIS SET-UP AND PORTED CYLINDERS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I just wish I had a spot that was smooth and a good mile or so long to see what my top end speed will be.Will have to go down the river another 20 miles and search for that spot.

I don't want to end up fish tailing or doing a 360 on icy surfaces at 100 plus mph.I don't have studs on track...lol . Can you imagine how many times the sled would roll if I started to go sideways at 110 mph.Can I say OUCH!!!!
I have max. perf. transfer rods set at 4 lines showing on top.Should I adjust for more transfer, would this help me any?

You want the skiis lifting about 6" & sled shooting strate ahead. Every surface you ride on is different & you gotta find a happy medium. What works with studs ain,t even close to what works with a rubber track on snow.

What about the limiter straps then, what is the right lenth to have them?If I pull them in more,I will get less of a transfer.I think they are about 13/16" from end of thread to the back of the nut that rests against the plate that is fixed to the w-arm.Stock specs are 1 3/16" I gather. When it is on a stand the straps are tight, but when drop the sled to the floor, the straps are now loose.I just need to know if I am setting the suspension up properly for transfer.

Again; every sled is different & what works on 1 sled ain,t gonna work on another. Best 2 options is buy a set of timing lights or find a buddy with a sled that runs close to yours & test the crap out of it till you get the best possible holeshot & top end(use a gps). I spend a kajaillion hours a day testing this stuff but it is what works on my sled; my weight; my conditions. Anything anyone tells you is a guideline & can only get you close.

ah come on now Turk.We live in the same province. We have the same snow...which is nothing impressive. We are the same size and we both have a passion for sledding. What else do you need to go by.LOL. Hey Turk, did you buy yourself a Nytro yet.If I get one, will you Turbo it for me?
