is the viper rear cooler kit from yamaha an srx cooler? do you have to do much modifying with the kit, with an srx cooler it looks like just drilling a hole for the bleed screw to me. any tips or info would be great thanks

You get instructions and templates with the cooler kit. Yes it is the SRX kit that you want. I had one and sold it to a friend and it took them only about an hour to install.

Yes........I have one on my Viper. I had it put on by my dealer though. Yamaha offered it back when the Vipers were new for $50 installed. Apparently some Vipers over heated. Mine didn't, but I fibbed a little to get the good deal because I was planning on piping it the next year. I am now back to stock (exhaust), but it doesn't hurt anything.......other than another area for snow and ice to accumulate.LOL!!
