Hey BTV, hows your handlebar project going? Was Automatic the brand of "tape style" warmers you used? I have been looking for them. I have found a brand called Symtec. My question is, will any of these tape style warmers work on Yamahas? I'm wanting to eliminate the stock grips ,use plastic hooks and SLP grips as well as filling the bar etc.. Thanks Soc
they are done and hotter than the hubs of hell.
i have pictures to resize.
i used shrink tape to isolate the bar from the heater, installed two sets of heaters so if i ever burned out a set on a trip i could just plug in the other. i have them run in paralel right now, i need to put them in series. right now you can run them on half most of the time, rarely on high.
the company i got them from is Automatic distributors. they were 10$ for a set of two with no switches. install two sets just in case.
i ran this same style heater on my viper for two years and they are now on a friends srx for the second year and still going. the extra set might be overkill but its only 10$.
