I finally got my skid in today. Current setup.. Front end widened to 42". Viper shocks with betheviper mounts. ZX2 set at 2-5 and springs at #3.
I had to crank the springs up on the viper shocks to gain some height in the front. I have straight rate springs coming before we go up north this weekend. That should help my ride up front and keep the height. The multi-rates struggle to keep enough height for this rear skid.
The first thing I noticed was the weight transfer. With these settings I can pull the skiis 2-3ft in the air on any harpack. a big change from the M-10. I thought the ride was very good although I didn't put on many miles and we are low on snow. I was struggling with ski pressure even when not in the throttle. I changed the revolver to 1-5 and it helped quite a bit. Still less than I am used to, but I'm sure I will get used to it.
I adjusted the track until it racheted and then tightened a little. I actually had trouble with it racheting on decelleration rather then when accellerating. In the end it is about 1-1 1/4 hang cold. I'd say a little less in the warm garage. Definately don't try to start out with the track tight as they suggest. The suspension doesn't shrink much like they claim.
Overall I am very very happy. It seems to ride really good and should only get better once broke in. Weight transfer is amazing. Similiar to a pro-action with transfer rods cranked all the way up, but this skid pulls the skiis considerably higher.
Going up north this coming weekend so I'll have a few hundered miles to report back more info.
