New Comet 108EXP on a 95 V-max 500. Silver spring engages at 3200 rpm(to low!). Stock is around 3700 rpm. Comet lists 3 different springs that will get me to 4,000 rpm with my AC-1 weights but how do I know which one will work best?
What else does the primary spring effect besides engagement rpm?
I can list specs of each spring if it helps.
Thanks, FishX

The primary spring affects the entire shift out. If you liked the top end rpm of your old spring but the engagement was too low, then get a spring with a higher initial preload but the same total force. That will make the engagement higher, but will behave basically the same through the rest of the shift.
