Hi everyone,
I have owned my 2000 SRX for the past two years, however last year I didn't even touch it. The sled has 1,300 miles on it, and I have personally only put about 150 miles on it. Well this past weekend I used it for the first time in over a year. When I put it away in the spring of 2006 I drained all gas from it, and used fogging oil. Well when I went to start it this year, I put in fresh 93 octane gas and new plugs, and it started in about 6 or 7 pulls. This weekend I put about 100 miles on it. I "think" it ran great, but I don't know the sled well enough to know for sure. It always started on the first pull when warm, and when cold it was running in about 3 pulls. I did have the shop (which was very busy) replace the sliders, but they didn't have time to do anything else this weekend. They charged me $69.00 with the slides, was that a good price? So what exactly is a good running SRX like? Are there things that you can point to? Sorry for the long post, I am stepping up from a 1991 Phazer.........

Thanks,
Zack

did clean the carbs and power valves ? i am no expert but i would do that first ..the carbs being most important than its just looking everything over likw clutches primary and secondary open the air box to make sure nothing has made a home there and run the best gas no cheap stuff !! other guys here can tell you exactly what to expect form it but we need to know if it is a 600 or 700 .....

^^what he said, basic maintainance is needed 1st. Also, change the chaincase oil. Going from a 91 Phazer to an SRX, the SRX should feel stupid fast.
