help guys!i took the rear shock out of my 94 vmax ,on the trailer,and put a new shock on the unit.im trying to get the shock to go on the suspension now and in about a inch short of lining up the shock with the 2 rods in the middle.is there a trick to getting this shock back in ?ive got the susp up in the air ,but i can seem to get it back in ,sure i can get the rear mounting bolt in but the one that attaches to the 2 rods in the middle of the susp is giving me fits.am i doing it backwards or ?i might add the manual is of no help atall and i was hoping on going out tomorrow morning with some buddies for a cruise.

If theres room put a ratchet strap around it and compress it.

not too much room.maybe use the spring compressor then use a couple of heavy duty tie wraps till i get the bolts in then cut them?owe well i will be up bright and early slogging away at iti guess.if anybody has any ideas fire away i will check when i get up and thanks in advance.maybe the easiest way to solve this problem is to buy a fast m-10 or ad boivin ,lol.
