i have a 98 700 srx and sled goes to 8900 -9000 and then sits back down at 8500 rpm primary has 8dn00 with 4.5 heel and tip g g g spring
secondary is all stock red spring 47 helix 60deg
someone told me i'm way out of power band

you are out of the power band. have you serviced your clutched and power valves.
Clean the clutches and belt then clean and adjust your power valves and try it again.

yup way outa your power band,you want around 8300 for a stock '98,

WOW, YOUR IN 60 DEGREE IN SECONDARY AND STILL RUNNING THAT HIGH. WHY DON,T YOU TRY THE 8DN-20,s, need weight in primary !! 3:16 (yammie tony)
clutches appear clean, mild play in rollers, power valves cleaned and adjusted as i was cleaning and checking belt i decided to measure width it measures 32mm wide would that make that much of a difference or should i look at more weight and or spring change anyway
