Can I replace my original track with a Camoplast 15X1.25"X121 without modifications? The measurements seem close and I dont want the track to hit the tunnel or heat exchangers. I've read the threads and some people have done it but don't mention if they did modifications. The sled is a 1998 SRX 700.
If you don't run studs and remove the protectors you can fit up to a 1.75" in the pro-action with 9 tooth drivers. So a 1.25" will have plenty of room.
My 98' had a 1.25 track on it when I bought it, the previous owner said he had to put 8 tooth drivers on b/c the track rubbed on the protectors. ![Dunno :dunno: :dunno:](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/dunno.gif)

8 and/or 9 tooth drivers? Where are these located? Are you talking about the front drive wheels? I've upgraded the suspension from the pro-action to Expert X 121" last year but couldn't afford a new track until this year. I'm still running the oem track w/ 144 1" studs with no problems. I wanted to get the deepest lug to get away from the studs as I run mostly trails now.
Thanks for the tips so far Ryan B & Equalizer!

Yep the front drive wheels. Stock was a 9 tooth. Lots of guys that studded switched to 8's to get more clearance for the front exchanger. I'm running a set of 8 tooth extroverts with a 2" track and have plenty of room with that set up.

I did exactly what you want to do......get your self a new ripsaw and it will go in just fine as long as you take out the tunnel and heat exchanger protectors...I have no rubbing issues and I like the feel of the 1.25 track. I also wanted to get rid of the studs. The tunnel protectors are the white nylon or plastic bars that are up in the tunnel to protect from the studs eating the tunnel during track ballooning drill out the rivets and pull them off. Then drill out the rivets that hole on the exchanger protectors...install your track and you are good to go........YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO RUN STUDS SAFELY WITH THIS SETUP THOUGH!!!!!!!!! RR
