hey guys I want to add some 4.5g rivets to my 8bu-20 weights and was wondering what are the set screws on both sides of the weights!! can I simply take the nut and bolt out of the center of he weight without touching the set screwsÉ

Those allen/hex head set screws just tighten against the sleeve that the bolt goes through. You just loosen them like a turn then remove the nut and bolt, then the sleeve that goes through the weight(s). But when you pull that sleeve out the washer on each side of the weight will fall so make sure you catch them or see where they go.

If it's just weights (not spring) they can be changed in about 10 minutes with a clutch compressor. Remove the belt, compress the clutch with the compressor, lock it in place with the U-bracket. Unbolt the weight bolt, loosen the allen screws, slide the sleeve out and grab the weight, then search for the two nylon washers you just dropped.
Alternatively, you can remove the clutch cover, but I only do that if I need to change the spring.
