I am going to get a Yamaha transfer rod kit for my sled and I have been told that I should change the stock shock to a Viper shock. Any suggestions?

I put Viper shocks on my SRX and am very happy with them. Do a search on SRX Viper suspension, lots and lots of great info.

If you don't mine me asking Roost' Er. How much did you pay for your Edge skid and were you able to use all the wheels and shocks off your srx skid? Would you say it is more cost efficient then buying transfer rods and a Viper shock?

the price of the skid depends on market value that day and what condition the skid is in... They go anywhere from $100-$500+ for complete skids. You use nothing from your srx skid.

It all depends on where you are also, local sled salvage wanted anywhere from $600-675 for a edge, states market value seems to be strong from $350-450 for a good one, mine is outta a 2005 xcsp and had 600miles on it, i took my time shopped around and payed $250, so just take your time and look theres lots of deals out there as far as wheels and whatnot i didnt reuse anything from the yamaha skid...

Cost wise its similar but the edge is a FAR better skid, however im still working out the transfer kinks and whatnot ( having problems with the PS3 shock) so i got it revaled as a temp fix this year, over the summer im gonna grab a Fox Zero Pro clicker so solve the issues...

I still have my complete Proaction skid with bender TC3 transfer rods just havent decided if im gonna sell it or whatnot yet

x 10 skid in mine. works great on the lake. ride height is the same, no loss in top speed. what's wrong w/ your stock skid?
