Well it looks like you won't be seeing a 136" Nytro. Yamaha is taking the route Polaris did, make their crossover Nytro a 144". I think a 144" is better all around, but most tend to prefer the 136" it seems like. I'm sure there will be alot of guys upset that there's no 136". I just can't see them making a 136" as well, when they say that this sled corners like a 136".

I'm really happy with the way my MTX corners, so the 144 will probably be just as good. Mind you I've slowed down over the last 10yrs but we still clip along.

I bet so too. Mine corners fine, I was going to go 136" as first but glad I went 144". That extra 4" of track helps out big time in the powder. People seem to be scared away from the 144" crossover sleds because they look "long" compared to their 121".

My wife refers to the MTX as "the Bus". LOL!

Dont forget about the 6 degree tip up on the back of the skid. They say it corners like a 121, bridges like a 136, and has a foot print of a 144. Personaly... SIGN ME UP!

All the talk must be on the 4-stroke side?
Hope there are some leftovers at closer to $8k-ish come this time next year.

Polaris did that for a couple years, but now their switchbacks are 136" again.
with the tipped up rails on the new nytro, I bet it will handle just fine and not have a huge turning radius. Yeah, they definitely will not make a 136" machine when they do the new LT nytro like that.
is it just me, or does this "new sled" not live up to its hype? I thought were were going to see a revised Apex or the return of the SRX name or something.. this nytro xtx seems lieka no brainer, and while most expected a 136" version, the 144" version here should not be a shock.

This is a teaser release, the remainder of the line-up will be revealed March 13th, according to the Max bits newsletter. I'm not saying there is big news coming in March, just that this is not the full 09 release. I assume this early release of the XTX is more a result of the Doo 4-stroke release. Using it to take some wind out of Doo's sails more than likely.

542 lb what's doo's 4 stroker weigh in at? March 16th I'm demo riding the doo 4 stroke and the e-tec. Should look funny wearing all my blue on a Doo. I'm still not sold on giving up my viper for a 4 stroke.

I have a viper and just sold my 06 RTX. I cannot wait to get back on a 4 stroke. Once you go over you never want to come back. Looking forward to spring ordering.

Who else Demo'd the 09 XTX?
I did and LOVED it!!!!
The nytro RTX was very nice, and the XTX was even better.
After I tried the Nytro RTX out, I swapped sleds with a vector LTX, and was amazed the difference in attitude from the EFI'd 1050 triple from the 120hp vector. Granted I bet the nytro is geared down from the Vector so the top end MPH of the nytro may not be what it could be.
I was amazed how nicely the nytro fit my 6'4" 240lb frame. the apex chassis does not fit me anywhere near as nicely as the nytro. And with a medium windshield on the nytro, it actually had better wind protection than my venture with a low SX screen on it. The nytro may not be for everyone, but for me it was perfect (as a 1 up sled), esp the xtx.
