What do you guys think about using an 8DN belt on this instead of the stock 89L? I know the 8DN is a tad longer but I figured the specs could be used for the 8DN (.5mm below to 1.5mm above) for the height in the secondary. I know the 8DN will raise the RPM's by 200-300 too but other than that would you switch it? My friend blew his 89L the other night. No clue why, the clutches are aligned perfectly and the belt wasn't that old. He does have quite a bit of weight in the primary compared to what was recommended. He's got 4.5's in both holes in 8AB weights. And he says it's still over revving with that much in those. He wants to just use an 8DN belt since he already has one (that's what was on it when he bought it) plus I'm sure it would last longer anyway? Any thoughts?
