Hey, I was gonna grease the skid on my son's '96 Phazer before taking it up north. There is still some snow in the skid but I couldn't find any zerks in the logical spots. No grease zerks?

Nope there is none..only ones on that sled are the spindle zirks, one on
each side...

Huh! Not used to that. Guess I can stop looking huh? Everything looks to be in good shape. Guess I'll just spray the skid with WD-40 occasionally like I do with the other two sleds after cleaning and greasing. Thank you!

Yea i know it sucks, yamaha really didn't get into putting zirks in till the pro-
action days...
my '94PZ i pulled the skid and added my own,boy it makes a difference when you can get grease in there..

Good idea! Possibly a summer job? Looks like I'll have three skids out. Vector's gonna get some bushings, the PZ500 needs some maintenance too...
Thanks again.

yea you may as well wait till summer, just go to your local hardware store
and get some metric zirks and nuts, mark your locations first before you
pull the skid, then when you get it out drill holes @ your marking's, carfully
weld the nut over the hole then screw the zerk into it,make sure any grease is cleaned off or it'll weld like crap..

Make sure you lube those pivots on the front struts and all the swivel joints on the steering linkages.
