Yamaha dropped the ball here with the new lineup?Nothing new for the top of the line Apex?No new HP or skid or weight drop?I don't know but it seems like they are leaving it up to the other brands to bring the latest tech to the forefront first lately.OK they put a cool new skid in the Nytro but thats it?I expected more.

The new release XT-X is just their first new sled that they're taken the wraps off. March 13th is when the rest of the line up is released.
Yamaha made it clear in their announcement on Feb.8th that this would be the release of ONE new snowmobile.
We'll have to hang tight another 5 weeks to see the rest of the line up.

The only 2009 sled that has been released is the Nytro XTX. All others are yet to come.

yamaha built this sled for people that are actually going to buy it - not for people that still ride 11 year old technology.fourbarrel said:Yamaha dropped the ball here with the new lineup?Nothing new for the top of the line Apex?No new HP or skid or weight drop?I don't know but it seems like they are leaving it up to the other brands to bring the latest tech to the forefront first lately.OK they put a cool new skid in the Nytro but thats it?I expected more.

SRX, RX-1, Warrior, Vector, Apex, Phazer, Nitro...... I don't agree especially, considering these times of low snow, low sales years ?

Yeah yamaha isn't exactly known for releasing a lot of new models. They used to be criticized for hanging on to old tech for as long as possible. But since 02 they've introduced 6 new sleds and some spin-offs from each.
Cry all you want about how theres no 200hp 400lb sled for this year. The heart of the market is stilll the 600 class and the target yamaha buyer still prefers reliability over having the lightest sled on snow.

The Warrior doesn't really count, it's not like it was brand new technology. RX-1 with a longer tunnel, 136" rails and 136" track.

R U guys sure there's more to come? If so that's sweet. I really don;t think Yammie would have left it at the XTX, they usually talk about all the changes.
