How do I wire a VDO xtreme tach on my 99srx??

Need help wiring this thing up in my 99 srx. What wires from the VDO go to what on the harness? How do I setup the little switches on the back of the gauge for snowmobiles?

VDO tachs need a battery to operate. Is that your plan?

Theres no way to run it off the Magneto/stator I just want it on while the sled is running not when it is off??

I thought i could wire it up off my stator????
