I am new to this forum and I just wanted to let you guys know great you guys are. I've never seen a forum where everybody is so helpful to thier fellow sledders. My question is, I am thinking about doing the silencer and airbox mods on my 2000 SRX 700. How much HP gain should I expect to see and how much will I have to change my jetting/clip settings?

Thanks for your feedback.

Dont do the silencer mod.. You actually lose a few HP over some extra noise. It has been proven and dynoed on this board by somebody. I have seen the sheets for myself.

I would not be in such a hurry to put a cold air kit in it. Get yourself a good clutch kit. Will make a huge difference. you can do it very cheap. All you need is three 4.5 gram rivets for your fly weights. Drill out he smallest rivet and put the 4.5 gram rivet in all 3. 51/43 helix and green secondary spring at 70. Get a WWW primary spring.

Adjust your belt deflection to where is almost squeeling at idle. (Tighten)

How many miles on the sled? Anything near 3K is time for new rings.

Install 4 5.38 idler wheels up front (remove the stock 5.125 wheels) for better hyfax wear and rolling resistance.

I would start there. You could have your top end trail ported later and will need to do some tuning. Have to run alot fatter main jets and open up the fuel screws if you decide on trail port.

Leave the stock silencer on!!!!!!!!

I agree with tom leave the box and silencer alone, there's other area's that will yield far better results like clutch set up's for one.....
