just pulled my power valves and they are new with 300 miles on them and they had about .020 of carbon built up on them already is that normal???took about an hour of scraping with a bade and scotch brite

Power valve cleanliness depends on allot of things not just oil,,speed, jetting
gas, oil, oil pump setting's,all effects carbon build up.

what oil you using, have your O/P setting right,,been put'en around slow?

??????

using yamalube!!! and i ride hard, oil setting is correct as far as it calls out for in the manual,,thought about switching oils but i do not know if its a good idea since i have 3800 miles on it with yamalube

Not saying it will be a cure all but maybe pick up a gal or two of some good
syn. oil and try,,see what happens, lean your pump up a tad too...

Nope, I used Yama lube for a long time, before POwer vlave sled, Then The power valves gummed up all the time using it, CHange to a synthetic, last 2 ring changes everything is much cleaner less wear, and power valves are not nearly as dirty.

Nope it ok to change, I would use up most of the oil in the tank if not all of it before changing to synthetic,

i use solely yamalube and my valves always slide right out of the jug. i run 93 octane, and ride it hard. clean valves every 700 to 1000 miles and have not had any issues. in my opinion yamalube does what it needs to.
