As listed in title. Sled seems to be a little flat at mid shift, that is when compared with a couple of other freinds sleds. My sled is setup as follows:

03 Viper 121 stock track, studded, 1200 miles, Ported no pipes, 8DN-20 weights full, Hauck roller secondary, 41/35 Helix, SRX tork arm, extra wheels at bend, over size small idlers. 21/38 gears, 1 layer head gasket removed, power valves good. Engagement 4000, Shift goes to 8400 then slowly raises to 8600. track tension 1 to 1 1/2 inch when pulled

I actually really thought it was running great until I finally got to line it up with a couple of freinds sleds. (on lake, snow to cold to pack really well but not to deep)

05 Polaris xc 700 Results - Even holeshot to 1st 100 feet then polaris pulled out nearly a length on me until about 1000 feet then I went past him slowly and kept on leaving him through the half a mile or so we ran

05 RX1- Even Holeshot to 1st 100 feet then RX1 pulled out about 5 lengths on
me through about 1000 feet then we evened out on top speed. I think I was catching him just a little but at that rate it would tke about 5 miles to get the job done. The top speed thing makes sense because last year I ran 1 MPH faster than him at a 1000 ft radar run.

I love my sled and it feels great but I wish the mid shift was as strong as the top end. I am a 90% trail rider so maximum dependability is my primary concern. I saw another post here a while ago about 8dn being a little flat in the middle but I'm not sure if this is really true. I would consider 8BUs if they would still be good for trail or maybe Heel clicker if somebody can tell me for sure that the only time they will ever break is if you do something stupid with them like not cut the notches that may be required. I have know some people that have had them break and I don't want to be taking that risk if it is a potential problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As long as you run the 40-10 HC's you dont need to notch anything from what I've read and I've even spoke to a tech at super torque (heel clicker)
