Looking for a good aggressive trail setup with decent top end.
I have an 02 cpr piped viper with a 1'' 136 track w/ 108 studs.
Would like a setup that will work with what I already have.
I need to know what weight to put in the h/c's and what to wrap the secondary at.I have a gram scale but it only shows full grams so if you could tell me what bolts and how many washers to use would help a lot.
I have a red hc primary spring and green secondary spring.
51/43 dalton helix and a 51/43 rx1 stock helix.(which one should I use?)
Using stock dia rollers.
Also putting on a peak perf. head which domes should i use.
I rarely get a chance to fine tune so looking for a setup to get real close.
I have been using heavy hitters and have been pretty happy so far,but everyone seems to be using the h/c so I hope the perform as well or better than the HH.
Running neck and neck with a 03 f7 so I'm hoping to pull a little more from the viper!
Thanks much

What gearing & drivers are you running? If you are running you 136" track even with a 128" 03 F-7 thats good. I have 2 primarys & run both Hitters & Clickers, The Hitters have been more user friendly, I say that because the Clickers put so much power to the track that traction has been a issue. Depending on the snow conditions one day hookup would be great & the next would be no hookup what so ever.
Setups vary between the 2
Clickers
Red Spring
Heel-long bolt w/4-6 washers (depending on rider weight)
Center-open/empty
Tip-open/empty for 9000 rpm
Rollers-15mm-15.6mm help with traction
You can use the stock 14.5 rollers but need to be a smart driver. No flat to the bar holeshot, Start by 1/2-3/4 throttle holeshots to get hooked up & then pin it works for me. I guess if you have good traction it will not be a issue.
I have learned that if it feels fast it aint & when it feels doggy its hookin & bookin.
Helix will need to have a shallower fininsh imo 38-36-34, Green secondary spring set @ 60 or a O.E. Red @ 80/90 will work fine.
Hitters
Heel-1/4 alen or open (any more weight & I lose my holshot but mph great)
Center-3/8 steel bolt w/thick washer
Tip-open for 9000 rpm
BLK Hitter Spring
Stock 14.5mm rollers
Stock 47* helix
Yami Silver spring set @ 70
Both weights I like to get to holeshot @ 8600-8700 & climb up to 8900-9000 after 400-500'...... Pulls real nice & pisses off the boys![Wink ;) ;)](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/wink.png)

Running stock gearing and drivers 9t.
How about the the head what cc domes should I run?
Would like to try a h/c setup with what I have laying around.Which isn't much.I'am leaving this weekend on a trip so I need to get the sled back together soon.Or I will just put my HH's back in.
I just don't want to put h/c in if I'am not confident in the setup.Just don't want to slow it down any on this trip.Alot of fast sleds going and I HATE looking at tailights. The f7 is my best run and he just added a Y-pipe so he probably gained a little on me.
Any other setups throw my way.
Thanks again

Heading out w/no testing I would feel better if you ran the Heavy Hitters, Not saying the Clickers wouldnt be close but you will need a diff helix to work.... & really dont want you cussing me out your whole trip if the setup is off a tick

19cc domes with race gas
22 cc domes with prem pump gas
Dont worry about his Y-Pipe, Had a couple buddys do the Y-Pipe & the 03 Stocker was still faster.......Some ran ran good stock & some ran like poo.
Fresh belt & clean clutchs always have worked nice for me

load the heel with the long bolt and 4-5 washers, mid empty, tip 3.3 grams(small bolt) red heel clicker spring. 51/43 rx1 helix is great with 60* wrap with green sec. spring. i run a 136" 1.75" finger track and hauls 9100rpm. stock 14.5mm rollers. and remember, alignment/center to center is very important.

Thanks there Red, That track lug must be helping it hookup with the stock rollers. May get a chance to try it this weekend.
