not sure if in right area tech question

Has anyone re wired a stator from a 175watt(7wire) to a 300watt(3wire) by swapping out the plugs from one to the other to fit the opposite wiring harness. I know I must be dreaming but I'm thinking of going for it, but if some one has tried please let me know.

It´s not possible, the core of the stator is different. The 175 watt have a 12 pole core and the 300 watt stator have a 18 pole core.
