Hi! I'm new here and I don't know if this is gonna work.
I was wondering if anyone knows anything about ski enlargment. I added aluminum plates on my viper's skis to enlarge them to 8". It's a great improvement in powder but I was wondering if it may be a problem some day. Since the plates are only on one side of the skis, could there be too much stress on the suspention??
I have pics if anybody is interested
Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't think you'd have a problem, but i dont know for sure. You might get some better feedback if you post some pictures of your skis, so we know exactly how you went about widening them.

I forgot to say that I'm supose to paint the ski-plates...... it's just a prototype yet! lol I love it so far
Thats probably going to stress the ski mounting bolt and bushing. If you like the improvement run it and just check everything for wear after you ride.
Nice sled.![Nos :nos: :nos:](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/nos.gif)

I would be most concernd with them breaking loose. There will be a lot of stress put on them when breaking through hard crusty snow. Like jumping snow banks or even just carving in powder with a icy crust underneath.

Thanks for the advices guys! I will sure be checking them after each ride if they are breaking loose of anything else could happend to the suspension. We have no ice so far in Québec city, The conditions are awesome. 360 centimeters of snow so far.
Thanks again

I think you will likely find the ride rougher. The will be no flex in your ski.
I understand where your are going with this but you would likely be better off with after market skis, like slp powder pros or simmons. You might be able to find some used or new take off APEX MTN or NYTRO MTN skies.
The cost of these is what is stopping me to.
