Well I am trying to trace some electrical problems and want to check the wiring for the thumb and hand warmers. So I went to remove the plastic shroud that goes around the gas tank (where the warmer controls and key are) but I can't get 2 of the screws out
One is the clutch side screw where the hood strap is, it just turns semi freely and the other one is the one that goes into the gas tan on the other side.
Any ideas on how to remove these two screws?

try an impact screwdriver on the stuck one, use the correct bit so you dont strip out the head. On the one spinning, youll need to get a thin screwdriver up between the plastics, there is a little brass bushing that inserts into the tank, its likely spinning the whole works in the tank plastic. When you get the bolt out you can jbweld the bushing or carefull use of a hot soldering iron and melt some of the plastic around it to capture it again.

lol Dave, that sure would get interesting on the gas tank!
Thanks for the Suggestions MR Viper, Hopefully in the next day or two I'll get a chance to work on it and see if those work.
