Was Riding Today In Island Pond Vermont, 20 Degrees, Sun Out Just Beautiful. Then My Sled Stuttered, Slowed, And Shut Down.
Went To Pull Start It, Siezed!!
Took The Belt Off And My Friend Towed Me Back.
Looked Down The Spark Plug Holes, Could See The Wrist Pin On #2, Whole Blown Thru Piston.
I Had Cleaned Carbs A While Back But Had Put At Least 150 Miles On Since Then.
It Was Running Fine, So What Do You Think, Lack Of Gas, Right?
This Is The Second Viper I Killed In 2 Weeks. Is There A On-line Site To Go To For Cleaning Mikuni Carbs. Help!!!

Post some photos of the damage on the Viper section. Someone will diagnose the failure.

My Viper 03 sized 2 weeks back, center rod bearing sized on the crank. Having the crank reworked and hope to do a good rebuild. Engine lasted 4,000 miles with pipes in mountain conditions.
