Has anyone tried different shocks on their SRX other than kyb and ohlins? I long traveled and widened the front end 2". As long as I have the right connections can I use most any brand shock as long as the lenghts are equal to the factory viper shocks?

As long as the dimensions are the same, over all length, and the stroke length is close. You may need spacers or washers for a tight fit. other wise they will work. You also have to check # of pressure, to compress the spring, compared to your spring rate that you were using.
