hey guys
is there anyone out there that has a link to a diagram or has a diagram, for taking apart and cleaning the fuel pump unit in a 2000 srx700, last winter the motor burnt up a piston and i had to rebuild it, and i think all, or any shit that was in the fuel tank setteled to the bottom, and when we went to fire it up it ran for a bit, then stopped like it was out of gas, like it is clogged or something, but its got half a tank, so im gonna clean the carbs, and wanna clean the fuel pump unit too.
so my question is can i just take whatever screws and bolts keeps the cover on, off and not have to worrie about springs popping out and not knowing where to pump them back at, so can i take it apart and clean it and put it back together easy..,hahah
thanks everyone

its just a big diaphram in between the alum. halves, easyto do.
I would also replace the fuel filter in the tank, it might be all gooped up, you have to snag it with a coat hanger down thru the filler hole and then you can change it out, just a thought.

bump....
Took one apart a while back, and now I'm not sure exactly how the gaskets and dividers go. No diagram in the manual or on the parts diagram. Any help would be appreciated. Guess I should have put it back together right away.

Best way is to write down the order (or take pics) layer by layer as you take them apart.
However, if you lost track all you have to do is study the parts very carefully and you can tell which way and in which order they go. If you get stumped, just analyze the operation and it should become obvious.
Basically gaskets next to metal, diaphragms next to gaskets. Little flaps can act as check valves, just follow the fuel flow through and the pulse chamber.
