Hi guys!
I added a 144'' track on my 'SXViper S' 2004 this last fall and now, I need power. I was wondering what would be a good improvement to do to the engine. It seems that many of you have been where I am right now, with the same needs. I have a reverse on my sled but no starter kit. The problem is that the engine has 12 000 miles. ---YAMAHA RULES---. It works perfectly.
I don't know yet how much I would put on it but it won't be over 800$
What do you guys think??
Thanks in advance!

1st thing is to rebuild your motor
2nd thing did you re-gear and/or re-clutch for the 144?

Is it rebuilt with low miles or does it have 12 000 miles like you said in post one!
The best and cheapest way to make a sled faster is for the person riding the sled to lose weight!!!!!

well the snowmobile have 12 000 miles but the engine has been rebuild last year (600 miles ago) I am not looking for speed exactly but extra torque and HP. (acceleration)

Triple pipes would give you around 30 more HP, but you may lose reliability if not set up right and definitely lose gas mileage.
