If you go from 9 tooth drivers to 8 tooth on an srx, what would that compare to for chaincase gearing? When I puchased my sled used, the previous owner had dropped a tooth on the bottom gear, then I put 8 tooth drivers to fit a bigger track. If you can't use all your top end (which I still can't around here) is it always beneficial to go as low as you can go, or is there a point where it hinders acceleration? Thanks guys.

what gears do you have?
23/38 9t = 1.65
23/37 9t = 1.61 ??
22/38 9t = 1.73
23/38 8t = 1.86
23/37 8t = 1.81
