1989 Ovation How do you set the oil injection cable

I was wondering if anybody knew the procedure to set up the oil injection cable on an ovation.

I believe you pull up on the cable and measure from the bottom of the cable casing to the top of the tube on the carb that holds the cable and it should be about 23 - 25 millimeters of cable showing I think.
