I was messing with my skid setup today and I have a few questions. Right now I have the FRA set in the top hole (softest, I weigh 160), and when I sit on the sled I have slightly less top gap than bottom gap on the transfer rods but it's close. So I'm thinking that would be about ideal. Right now the track is flat on the ground all the way back to the rear axle, wouldn't it be better if the back end was slightly off the ground? I should loosen the limiter straps for this right? Also, what's a good starting point for front track shock adjustment? Do I want less preload? Unfortunately there isn't enough snow here to test things myself so maybe you guys have some tips.

Have you ridden that sled with the skid jacked up like that? I was just wandering what it handled like and if you had too much ski pressure. Are they just drop brackets on the rear?

I've ridden it some, yes they are just drop brackets. It handles as good as it ever did, though it is a little easier to lift the inside ski on a turn. I haven't really ridden it enough for a full ride report though. I really like the way it feels with the seat tipped up, and with a 2" bar riser it's a nice ride. I love the way it looks too..lol

Probably. Mine is close to 50/50 but slightly more on bottom. What do I need to adjust for this? If I put the FRA in the middle hole the gap is perfect but the ride is stiffer so I want to leave that alone.

Adjust your transfer rods for more weight transfer (counter clockwise iirc). Should also help with ski lift as I just did the opposite and now the skis really bite too much now (less weight transfer)

Don't touch the FRA, just tighten up the pre-load on the rear shock till you get a 50/50 gap. Shouldn't take much as you're already pretty close.
