I have a 2002 srx ported. I am running 40-10's with 5 grams in the heel and 6 in the tip along with a 48/36 helix and green secondary spring wrapped at 60-80. I need to set this sled up for ditch banging. It hits 8500-8600 rpm's right out of the gate but seems like it kinda boggy like if your running across a field let off and hit it again. Running 45 pilots and 152.3 mains. Do you think maybe a different helix would help?

It sounds like you have a top end mph set up. I would take some waight out of the tip and put it it the middle. You may loose top end but it should be better in the mid range if your ditch banging. Wrapping at 80 would also be better for ditch banging as it wouldn't shift out as fast and will give a better back shift. Just my opinion though.

I think you are correct. I may go 3.3 in the middle and 3.3 in the tip.

My bigbore will loose its response if I put too much weight in the heel. I would take a couple gramms out of the heel and see what happens....plus its quick and easy. I never put weight in the middle, seems to take away throttle response.

Thanks I will give that a try. Kinda seems like that might be the problem.
