adjusting fuel screw

the fuel screw is always open and its a seprate circuit from the main jet. So it effects the entire rpm range but I think its so small that its insignifacant.

I need to open my fuel screw 1/4 turn cause I have a small idle hang for about 5 seconds.

My DCS light comes on during 3/4 to 1 mile pulls. I was hoping when I open that fuel screw a little it will help give it a little more fuel wide open

you still having problems with your DCS? My SRX is running fine now.Have 01 jetting ,50 pilots turned open all the way..about 2 1/4 turns,I run premium gas also. I run water eliminator device in the tank and use Sea Foam every other time.My carbs are always clean also.I thought the HC's would cause me to have a DCS problem to because of loading up the motor more .Only thing I had to do is get rid of my low end lean bog and that is solved.Don't know what else could be causing your problem.

running screws right now at 1.5 turns

152.5 mains across and still detonating.

It needs more fuel.. Ask Maim a fellow TY'er from Canada. He got it to detonante sooner with him on it as he is bigger than I am.

Mrviper told me 150 pto and 148.8 center and mag. not even close. still scratching my head..

test your knock sensor,,ya never know could be reading outa range for
some reason..

I shouldnt have to go with race fuel for a trail ported motor.. I want to ride the sled. Where the heck you going to get race fuel on just casual rides in the U.P.

That's why i do and always will love stock,i'd rather ride then #$%&* around all the time with tuning this adjusting that,etc..

but yea with a port job shouldn't need more oct.,,is your comp stock tom??
did it go up at all with the port?

"SOME" head work was done to make up for lost compression when the cylinders were ported. I think around .012 were taken off the heads. So it has a touch more compression then stock.

Im gonna turn that screw out 1/4 and try 155 PTO 153.8 center and mag.

Ill test out the sensor but I know it was replaced about 1000 miles ago.

I also think the fuel today might be junk compared to what it was 10 years ago.. Even premium.. SO i will try to give it more fuel.

I did some very long pulls , and I did that for a long time. Ive never seen a snowmobile engine so hot in my life... so I know I am close..

Have you been checking plug color/wash(i'm sure you have) when DCS has been activating??

I need to and probably should. All I know is I am alot closer than last year. Was running 148.8 pto and 147.5 center and mag and the DCS wouldnt stay off.. I went up to 152.5 straight across

155 and 153.8's should kill the light. You would atleast think so.

it's worth a try,test,test,test,worse case you'll be pig rich,watch plug
color/wash,as you know that'll tell ya what it' needs.

so hard to find good grade fuel anymore :o| ,thats another reason i like stock and lower compresion. :)
