I sold this sled Saturday but it had what I hope to be a minor clutch problem that didn't exist when I put it away this Summer.

The sled will run like mad when you put the throttle to the handlebars, but will not down shift all the way until RPM's drop to idle. I called the local dealer and asked what I could do and he said to only use compressed air (which only produced a small dust cloud and didn't help), and to remove the primary cover and spring to clean the shaft off with a clean rag only...nothing to clean or lube at all. From what I could see of the shaft, it looked clean so I didn't tear it apart.

We took the sled on a 35 mile ride, and it got a little better but still doesn't want to down shift right. It bogs until idle drops to normal.

What does it sound like this sled is going to need to get it running right again? I have said it before, but man do I wish I could learn clutching! I have been looking all over the Internet for a nice how to without having a PHD. :o|

If she's not down shifting check your secondary, could have something broke or wore out, sounds like both clutches need to come off for a thorough inspection and cleaning,ASAP....
