I need to replace the front sway bar on an sxr and was wondering how easy or difficult it is to replace. You'd think it would be simple, but by taking a quick look at it, it seems as though it could involve a lot. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!

ps...the edge skid is worth every penny. :2strokes:

haha... Once I find a clean edge skid, it's going in the viper! It may end up being a summer project, but I'm definitely doing the swap. ;)!

I am under the impression that first you disconnect the linkages on both sides. Second you take out the blocks on both sides by drilling out the rivets and then you slide the sway bar out. This is the way I have ben told it is done but I have yet to remove mine. If I want to ride without it for a while I just take off one of the links.

Thanks 151Viper... From looking at it that's what I figured. It shouldn't be too tough, but just wanted to get some opinions on it before I attempt to replace it. The bar is just slightly bent causing it to fall about 1" from the Link, so I will probably just try to bend it a little and see if that works before replacing it.
