All, Here are some pics from last Sundays ride here in Maine. We had a lot better day than the Poo rider on what was left of the XLT. I don't know if the rider made it or not? No one was around but the sled. Put around 200 miles and trails were great as usual. We rode from the Newport area up ITS 85, 86,87 and also some local and corridor trails too Forks area and back to Newport. 4 yammers 1 Doo and 1 Poo. 150 miles shy of having 2000 miles on for the year! Thanks Blue

Hey the lady on the Poo ended up being Ok, right? I think she was air lifted and the report stated she didn't have any life threatening injuries. I think it happened around 1-2pm, what time did you roll through there? Anyway looks like some sweet riding.

We went through around 2:00 pm. Wow that would be great if no one was hurt serious! O.K. I have to ask how someone from Michigan knows about that accident here in Maine? Thanks Blue

Story on the busted POO

Yes I am omni present...LOL Someone else posted that sled and report on HCS in the last day or so. glad I could help. Now I'm off to give the scoop on the happenings in BC. ZOOOM!

Here's the story:

By Morning Sentinel Staff

Two western Maine snowmobilers were taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after crashes that occurred just a few hours apart.

A Massachusetts woman was taken by a LifeFlight helicopter to a Bangor hospital following an afternoon accident in Carrato. LifeFlight responded three hours later when a snowmobile crashed in Jackman.

Kelly McMahon, 27, of West Bridgewater, Mass., suffered lacerations, bruised ribs and a gashed knee during a crash on Pleasant Pond Loop Trail in Caratunk, said Rick Clowry of the Maine Warden's Service. LifeFlight was called after McMahon lost consciousness during the ambulance ride, Clowry said.

She was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center. None of the injuries was believed to be life threatening.

Speed and inexperience likely contributed to the crash, Clowry said. The cold snap Friday night and Saturday froze the trails making them very fast, the Warden said.

"This was her first time on a snowmobile," Clowry said.

LifeFlight also had been called for a snowmobile accident in Jackman that occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Details were unavailable Saturday evening, but there were indications the crash resulted in serious injuries, Clowry said.
