Last couple of rides I have noticed my 02 Viper's gas mileage a little down. Typically an aggresive rider with the throttle to the bar 60-70% of the time. If she is open the mileage sucks about 80 miles til the gas light comes on. When I cruise up and down im getting 55 miles to a half tank. Is it driving style or should I do something to improve the mileage?

Its the fuel! The fuel has changed everwhere and has trashed the fuel milage...I just got back from quebec and my srx was a fuel pig..... I have two srx's and they are both tough on fuel..... not sure what can be changed...maybe you can run leaner with the new fuel and run a hotter plug....not sure!

I read on here that that running the carb heaters on a warmer day makes it run a little rich and chews through fuel. Not sure what temp you are supposed to turn them on. Don't feel bad because I only get 70 - 75 miles to a tank !! At 70 miles it takes me 10.9 gals to fill a 12 gal tank !
