Been thinking about my suspension a little bit, i just had my suspension stiffened (i'm 235lbs) not a big deal when it comes down to the speed or accel. just the sag, when i sit on it, i don't like how much it sags, i want it to be able to be as stiff as possible with out moving much upon sitting on it, I know they adjusted the Main rear spring and the front spring, but i dont' know about the FRA, where is that on the susp. and if i put that to hard will it make a more noticable difference then with just increasing preload? Dealer adjusted it for me, because i had no time, and its free.... but it didn't really do much.... i was thinking about resorting to Beefier rear springs so i can have more stiffeness, I pretty much don't want any sag upon sitting on it, but enough movement when i hit some bumps on the trail.....mainly want to avoid bottoming it out and hurting my rear heat xchanger...... For that i will get some protectors for the front and rear heat xchangers.....

Thanks in advance for any help..... kinda jumping around thoughts in my mind as to if it will be a good idea to invest in stiffer springs in back or if its a waste of money if i can get what i want out of the stock skid....

is it possible to have the rear springs revalved for my weight and riding style?

Thanks, Joe

ok thanks that helped alot... your saying get that kit that makes the stock shocks turn into long travel and then have them put stiffer springs on in the process, i told bruce i weigh 235 but i want it valved and springed as if i was 255.

Tell Bruce exactly what you want and he will take care of you, you wont be disappointed. I am 185 without gear and I have a stiffer spring on mine, it rides great and very rarely bottom out now.

I would have to agree with Dave M, I would be worried about spending all that money on shocks and springs and having it way to stiff......What did bruce say when you said 255? Look at it this way, have them valved and sprung for your rider weight but leave some room to go up or down, or your going to regret it:)......just my 2 cents...good luck...RR

A SRX didn't a he11 of allot of travel to start with(8.5") so any amount of sag will seem like allot, your not going to want it stiff believe me/use :)

mess around with preload some more and your FRA,if not you can get a
different rate to put on that will help with your weight..

a stock srx suspension can be made to ride nice,,mine does i love it.

i strongly suggest you DL this video and watch it two three times, you'll
under stand allot better on how a pro-action works
