On a srx stock the pto cylinder is always the leanest. But I see on a ported srx they always run the mag cylinder the richest? Meaning the jetting flip flops. Anyone know why?

Good Question? I would like to know the answer to this a well! I always thought that was a misprint. It was my understanding that the mag side would be richer because of the extra heat from the pipes or something like that......I thought my vmax 4's had the larger jet on the mag side.....

THIS IS GOOD TOPIC. I SEEN STAGERED JETTING FOR YEARS ON TRIPLES. NOT JUST YAMAHA. RULE OF THUMB WAS ALWAYS PTO CYKINDER IS STRESSED MORE BEING CLOSEST TO PRIMARY. THE 98 SRX WAS DEFFERENT, THE MAG HAD RICHER JETS ON THAT SIDE SO THROW THAT THEORY OUT. THAN IN 00-01-02 BACK TO PTO. I CAN TELL YA I NEVER SEEN STAGGERED JETTING IN ANY VMAX 4. REMEMEBER THAT PTO SHAFT SITS ON THE DRIVE GEAR CASE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Maybe Mr. Viper could jump in here?

I always heard that the pto needed to be richer because it was the farthest from the water pump but I have no clue if there's any truth to that or not.

I was actually thinking about posting a thread like this a while a go, but I didn't. I started wondering when I read the attached set-up document from Bender Racing. Thought it was a misprint too since I've always heard that the pto-side should have a richer jetting.
