what I want to know is it OK to measure the squished solder @ 1/8 to 1/4" from the end that was against the cyl wall. Or what is the proper place to measure using a caliper mine with peak head (22cc) checks @ .060-.062

Yes the squish is measured about a 1/4" from the cyl wall(at the thinnest point), I think all that wil change is the dome (combustion chamber) size and not the squish size. T
