Hey guys, i just finished a 2 day 925km/578mi trip with my Dad and his new 2008 Apex LTX 40th Anny sled and the thing frigging rocks! It pretty much cleaned up my SRX in all areas (hole shot, mid & top end). My 2000 SRX is set up like this: 136" kit with 1.25" ripsaw, longtravel'd rear with 3.35 & 7.5 wheels and small wheel kit in front, long travel viper shocks in front with sxr wider front 42" end, USI PX-301 skis, taller Cobra windshield, oversized Powermadd handguards. New top end this year, newer reed valves (last year), powervalves all good. Clutching is: primary has WWW with 8dn20 with 4.5 & 5.0 rivets, 48/40 advantedge helix with red at 80deg twist (had green at 70deg), gearing is 23/39.

On GPS i can just get about 101mph on somewhat hard pack trail but have not had the ideal conditions to get the most out of her (I think). With the green sec at 70deg I was getting a little over rev of 8700 but tried red at 80deg and it seemed to be better. With all the about changes with longer track, higher lugs, long travel front and back, gearing should i be happy or should i look to make some changes. It feels really strong but after riding with dad's Apex i am not as confident in her performance...........James

hey James....thats the nature of the beast now that you have long track and long traveled the SRX. You have great powder capabilities and a comfortable trail sled but sacrificed top end with the mods.
I am racing my sxr this weekend.
