went to my dealer to order some front and rear heat exhchanger protectors for my srx, and they said yamaha stopped making them..... They looked in a aftermarket catalog and couldn't find anything either, I'm going to check with dennis kirk... any other ideas?

how do they install? rivets? all nesicary hardware included?

I don't know what is all involved in installing the from heat xchangers protectors. does the track need to come off?

Thanks

i'll let you know later if i'm interested....

Will you take a check in US dollars?

I do prefer paypal but i would accept us money order. As per installation you should be able to install without taking track out. Just need to take off your airbox for the front and take of your seat and maybe drop your skid ( the last four bolts only) to get the tunnel strips on.......James

I do have the rear one too, i have decided to nix trying to stud my ripsaw and spend the $$ elsewere, $65 for both front and rear protectors and tunnel strips........James

Why do you have to take the airbox off for the fronts? Just curious.

The previous owner "rigged" on one from a different model that was loose...looks like he lost a track at one point. I noticed it changing my track. I removed the rigged loose one by drilling out the 2 rivets. Looks like it's just a pin that fits into a hole at the top. Are the real ones different?

Also, anyone want to sell just one front???

Reaper.... are these parts your selling me In new condition or what? all the rivets with it and all other nesicary mounting hardware also?

I will get that MOney order out as soon as i have time,

Whats the deal with shipping?

They are used parts you need to pick up some rivest.....the reason you need to take the air box out is so you can rivet the top part of the protector......i sent you a pm..................James
