bender clutch springs

I had a orange bender with 2 Big shims behind it and I just switched to a yami green and I found it is almost exact! But the engagement is around 4000 instead of 4500 where the bender one was...

Here this is off of a post that I had a while ago........solid Orange color spring is 55 kg preload and 135 kg. total force shift...OLav's Book shows A yami green spring is preload 45kg. and 136kg total force shift. The only thing that I don't know is the spring rate, but it has to be damn close because my shift rpms stayed almost spot on:) If you do this remember to take out the shims that the bender spring has behind it.

thanks for the help, do you have any infor for the secondary? settings?

My clutch that I have in my sled has a green yamaha spring....it was in the sled when I bought it....What is your wrap now? What is the code on the helix? What sled is it on? It all depends on snow conditions and the back shift you like. If you are going to drive on the lake , you want the least amount of wrap you can get without slipping the belt. If you are out in the trails and want it to be really snappy, you want the wrap to be up a couple wraps. I am know clutching expert....but if you give me some info I can give you ball park info.....Let me know RR
