Just a heads up for anyone having ignition poblems on thier SRX. I have a 2000 SRX 700 with 8000 miles on it. Two years ago I had the typical wire harness under the motor rub thru. This year I started having the same type of ignition symptoms, but only when I rode in a lot of powder. After 2 weeks of checking every wire connection I could find, replacing the stator, and drying out the relays and voltage regulator, I finally found 3 wires rubbed thru right where they are connected to the CDI box. They rub on the footwell and short out when they get wet. I hope this info helps someone else so they can find their problem quicker than I did.
