looking fer info on installing triple pipes on my '02 MM700. What setup will work best to compliment them. I have ataac, air box mod, head gasket shaved 1 layer, and reed spacers. I typically ride around 1500' - 1800' feet and around -5 to
-30 celcius with the odd trip to Revy or Elkford, B.C. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance.

the vforce reeds and boost bottle gave me better throttle response and mid range power, nothing noticible on top end but they say boost bottle straignt carb boots gain a few HP more on top end, clutching is trial and error, depends on what conditions you drive it in, im still playing with my clutching.and if you wanna make more HP, get them ported, 10-15 more HP, don't bother with the case it wont' help much, but the cylinders and head work can help. I love the power my bender triples gave me but dont' like the sound as much as the stock exhaust with MBPR can, that was sweeeeet.

where did you get the boost bottle from? Anything I've ever seen is for a Polaris twin. And are the Bender triples louder than the can or just not the same sound? Have you heard anything about the SLP triple pipes? The v force reeds I think are expensive. Do you reommend them over the stock ones?

I ride 7000 feet+ and I've only run the SLPs for one trip, then tried the Benders. By far in my opinion the Benders were better pipe at altitiude, thats why I bought them. I don't think you can go wrong with pipes they all have ups and downs. If you gonna find a used set, just stay away from the PI center dumps.
SLP,Bender seem to be the most popular.
Good Luck

Don't get the boost bottle, I looked into it, I think it is a waste of effort, for little gain you won't feel anyway, maybe on a dyno but not in the seat of your pants. Vforce reeds are also not necessary, you got the spacers done, I changed my reed petals, and it did crisp up the throttle reponse a bit (high tension Carbon tech reeds). You have the airbox mod, when you put on pipes your prob gonna have a nastly little bog due to the increase in air flow (lean bog) change you air jet to the .7mm from stock 1.0mm and start playin with fuel screw settings to get rid of it maybe even change pilots too, like 55s or 57.5s, or put a piece of tape over the holes you drilled in your air box for riding at low elevation, and take the tape off when riding at high elevation where the air box mod really works well.

thanks intoodeep, I have'nt even rode at my elevation since i did the airbox mod. Woulda had me scratchin my head fer a while (lean bog). I know your right about the benders, seem to be the most popular next to slp's. If you know anyone who has a set they wanna get rid of, have them contact me. (m.schmaltz@flaman.com)

What's wrong with the Power Inc center dumps?
I thought they were supposed to deliver broader torque at lower peak rpm?
Are they better at lower elevations?
Or just not as fast because of the lower rpm?

whits-end, don't really know bout the details on the center dumps, except that they really only work well on non-ported non-modified SX motors. So in other words, if you plan on stayin stock with just the center dump pipes you prob be OK. I think these pipes used to be the ones from the GYT catalog.
theflamanguy, I have the Holtzman Variflo and my baseline jetting is alot higher elevation than yours so I don't think my settings will work for you. Plus I have never run the ataac system so I don't even know how that one works exactly. Don't want to give you bad advice and you melt it down. Do you have EGTs on your sled?
Good Luck

no i dont have egt's intoodeep but have been looking in to them. I know that i have to jet for the coldest weather i ride in with the ataac. And the pipes are going to change that setup somewhat. I cant even remember right now what mains I have in there. I know im jetted for around -20c. That was fer Revy and was in march so i knew i was ok. just going to be some trial and error and always better to be fat than lean.
