What pilot jets do you guys run when you can run smaller than 148,8s and still get no dcs light? I run 151,3 and 150's and still get the light on a long run. I have #40 pilots. I got this tip about "total fuel flow" that was something like total fuel flow at top end is pilots plus mains.
So what pilots are you running? And what mains. (I know this issue has been beaten to death).
Thanks

i run the stock pilots in mine, no problems with jetting at all.... are you still having dcs issues?? i know last year i fooled with jetting a lot and finally got it figured down to clutching, removed some weight and it was good to go.

TELL YA 100 MILLION TIMES FUEL IS THE ISSUE WITH DCS. I HAVE STOCK JETTING IN MINE, ROCKING 8BU-00 SET-UP, PRE-MIX RACE GAS WITH PREM. LITE HAS NOT BEEN ON SINSE NEW. USED FOR LONG PULLS ON LAKES. 3:16 (yammie tony)
I guess 42,5s is the way to go then

no 42.5's not the way to go my friend.Had them in with my HC's,still had a lean bog issue. This is because you are loading up the motor a lot more and need more low end fuel.Try 47.5 or 50 pilots which I run.I am not using HC's at the moment, but my DCS did not come on today with a -3C outside and hitting 110 mph on a good mile plus stretch.
The dcs comes on on top end.
Better quality fuel. your buying crap premium.

Mike I never knew there was crap premium, hmmm! norweg your gonna have to purchase our Canadian Premium...and it's not crap either. My DCS is staying off now. Will sell you a gallon for $5.25/gallon and there would be shipping of about $130.00 thru FED-EX. LMAO.
If your in Canada get the Shell v-power. They have about the best quality premium out there.

There is crap premium, if you fill up at a gas station that gets very little traffic, they usually have summer blend gasoline in their tanks, not good to put in the sled in the winter time...
Let me rephraze my question: will bigger pilots give more fuel at top end also?

Ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not really norweg.it is for low end the pilots, maybe a tad hair more if any,but really insignificant. You need better fuel....that's the fact...jack.
