OK, so my '87 Exciter 570 with upgraded round side carbs (mid-year upgrade)is now running great, but sometimes cold starts are 1 pull, sometimes 40 pulls. Once running, 1/2 pull no matter what. Carbs just cleaned. plugs not wet even during 40 pulls. What is bizarre is that sometimes once warm, turning on the enricherner to 1st step does NOTHING, second step makes it run 400 rpm FASTER. Chokes seem to be opposite and kill the engine. A few times on the 570, it would burble slower with enricher on, but mostly does nothing and seems to have a mind of it's own, yet cables to enricher appear to be adjusted fine. Anyone have the specs on adjusting the enricher so I can double check? I think what is going on is that over the course of 40 pulls, I'm actuall warming the engine to the point she'll fire w/o enricher (or with enricer on but not functioning ???!!!) pretty agrivating, should I just put a primer on it?
